Well, guys, it’s officially too cold to blog. I had these grand plans of taking outfit pictures for today (and believe me, I looked cute) but then I stepped outside into 7 degree weather with a negative-degree wind chill and quickly said f#@% that. So, I went to plan b and put together some fab, simple inspiration for all of you.
The other day, I was doing something I never do – weeding out and organizing my Pinterest boards – when I realized somewhat of a trend. Each and every pin in my “Outfits” board was simple. Solid colors mixed with more solid colors ruled, and it got me so inspired to clean out my closet and take everything back to basics. I’ve learned over the years that the best outfits really are the simplest ones – whether that means jeans and a white tee, a classic cable-knit sweater or an all-black street style snap, simplicity is key.
Here are some items I’m currently loving that follow that mantra:
Gap sweater (on sale!) // Otte New York knuckle ring // Chloé ballet flats // River Island fedora hat // By Malene Birger coat // Victoria Beckham leather tote // Jigsaw cable knit snood // Michael Antonio lace-up peep-toe heels // Heart ring // Bobbi Brown pale polish // Current/Elliot denim pants
Here are some simple images that are inspiring me right now – take a peek!
